NPFL: Fans hold Enugu Rangers hostage after victory over Katsina United

Angry Katsina United fans held Rangers International FC of Enugu hostage after the visitors defeated them at home in the Nigeria Professional Football League’s 2021/2022 season opener.

On Sunday, Enugu Rangers defeated Katsina United 2-1 at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina city to open their league campaign on a positive note.

The enraged fans, however, barricaded the stadium gates after the final whistle, insisting that Enugu Rangers would not leave.

The enraged fans vented their frustrations at their side’s failure and threatened to harm the visiting team.
