Mo Salah led Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Brighton during their Premier League game at Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds secured a critical three points thanks to goals from both the attacker and Luis Diaz, keeping the pressure on league leaders Man City.
It took Liverpool just 19 minutes to grab the game opener, following a critical moment in the first half, when Luis Diaz exploited an inevitable rattling to nod home.
Matip was allowed huge time on the ball out on the right and he made the best out of it by sending a long ball to Diaz, who valiantly headed home the game’s first goal.
The visitors continued to dominate for the rest of the game as Brighton’s delicate calmness began to shatter.
Despite a few crosses from Alexander-Arnold into the box, the hosts were able to keep the halftime scoreline to a single goal.
14 minutes into second half, the referee points to the spot as Bissouma handled the ball in the penalty area after Keita played the ball from the left side of the box.
Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian genius, takes the ball and calmly finished the penalty kick to extend Liverpool’s lead, giving him 20 Premier League goals for the fourth time in his five years with the Reds.
In addition, the 29-year-old is only the third player in Premier League history to score 50 goals for Liverpool away from Anfield.
