Finidi George, the head coach of Enyimba, believes that his team has what it takes to qualify for the semi-finals of the African Football League.

Despite being at a disadvantage after losing the first leg of their quarter-final clash against Wydad Athletic Club 1-0, Finidi is full of positive hopes.

The Enyimba coach is confident that his young team can stun Wydad in front of their home fans in Casablanca and achieve their goal of reaching the semi-finals.

However, he acknowledges that all of his players will need to play at their best if they are to upset Wydad.

The NPFL champions have enough time to prepare for the second leg, and George is confident that they can turn things around and achieve qualification.

If the match was today, I would have been concerned about not getting enough rest, but the match is tomorrow, and we have a good amount of time to prepare for it,” Finidi said.

The coach further noted that;

We have a young team, but all the players have dreams and we are here to achieve qualification. This will happen if all the players deliver a good performance.”
