The Super Eagles’ newcomer, Gift Orban, ended his 10-game goal drought during a KAA Gent UEFA Europa Conference League match against Breidablik on Thursday night.
Orban scored his first goal since August, and Jordan Torunarigha, his compatriot, also had a strong performance as KAA Gent secured a significant win in the Europa Conference League.
In their matchday 3 at the Ghelamco Arena, the Nigerian international sealed the deal with the fifth goal in KAA Gent’s 5-0 home victory against Breidablik.
The match began with Omri Gandelman scoring a powerful header to open the scoring for KAA Gent in the 10th minute.
Hugo Cuypers extended Gent’s lead with a header in the 15th minute and added another goal in the 19th minute in combination with Tarik Tissoudali.
Tissoudali found the net in the 43rd minute, and Gift Orban completed the rout by scoring in the 69th minute, securing a convincing victory for the team.
Orban made his presence felt when he came on as a substitute for Jordan Torunarigha in the 57th minute and scored the game-winning goal.

The visitors had an opportunity to give their fans something to cheer about with a penalty, but Höskuldur Gunnlaugsson missed from the spot, adding to their night’s misery.
The victory propelled KAA Gent to the top of Group B with seven points from three matches, opening a three-point lead, while the visitors remained at the bottom with no points.
Gift Orban and his teammates will now switch their attention to the Belgian Pro League game against Standard at the Ghelamco Arena.
