Diogo Jota and Firmino secure victory for Liverpool over Arsenal

Liverpool has climbed one point behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after defeating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Two significant events in the second half changed the whole game for the Reds.

Alisson produced a brilliant save to thwart Martin Odegaard’s goal scoring chance for the visitors, followed by Diogo Jota’s precise finishing three minutes later for the Reds.

Roberto Firmino came in as a substitute, only to add to his team’s lead with a close-range strike, sealing the victory and all three points, making it the club’s ninth Premier League win in a row.

On Saturday, the Gunner will travel to Villa Park for their next Premier League match.

While In the FA Cup on Sunday, Liverpool will be facing Nottingham Forest.
