Nigerian striker Dickson Abiama displayed his exceptional skills in front of the goal on Friday night, coming off the bench to lead Greuther Furth to a convincing home win in the German second division.
Abiama made a huge impact during his 25-minute appearance, not only scoring a goal but also providing an assist as Greuther Furth secured a dominant 4-0 victory over VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga.
The match at Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer stadium was one-sided, with Julian Green opening the scoring just before halftime, much to the cheer of the home fans.
The second half started with a bang as Gideon Jung’s corner kick found Armindo Sieb, who effortlessly placed the ball in the back of the net, doubling their lead.
In the 64th minute, Dickson Abiama came on to replace Armindo Sieb. Remarkably, within nine minutes of being on the field, the 24-year-old forward found the target, thanks to another expertly executed corner kick.
Just a minute later, Tim Lemperle sealed the victory, earning Greuther Furth all three points.
This impressive win catapulted SpVgg Greuther Fürth to 7th place in the 2. Bundesliga standings, accumulating a total of 15 points. In contrast, VfL Osnabrück remains second to last with only six points.
