The 27-year-old forward wasted no time, breaking the deadlock just 21 minutes into the game at Stadio Tre Fontane.

Her opener set the ball rolling as Roma Women controlled the match with energy and precision.

Giada Greggi doubled the advantage before halftime, leaving Sassuolo chasing shadows.

Roma later sealed the result with a late strike from Alayah Pilgrim, while Babajide’s early goal proved the spark that guided the Giallorosse to their third straight win in the competition.

Sassuolo women left behind as Roma soar higher

For Sassuolo women, it was a difficult night as they struggled to recover from Babajide’s opener. Roma’s fast pace and fluid attack ensured the visitors rarely settled, and their defensive gaps were exploited.

The result means Roma Women top Group C and now move into the Final Four of the tournament.

Babajide, who previously played for Costa Adeje Tenerife in Spain, has now contributed three goal involvements—two assists and one goal—in just six matches since her arrival.

Roma head coach Luca Rossettini praised the team’s spirit and focus, highlighting their determination to bounce back after a recent setback against Sporting.

With Babajide settling quickly, Roma Women will now turn their attention to the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers against Sporting Ladies, having lost 2-1 in the first leg.

The Super Falcons star looks ready to be a key figure as the Giallorosse push for more silverware at home and in Europe.

And with her confidence soaring after beating Sassuolo women, she and her teammates look set to carry this momentum into tougher battles ahead.
