Following his decision to part ways with the Ligue 1 champions, Mauricio Pochettino will no longer serve as the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain.

The club confirmed on Tuesday that former Nice and Lyon head coach Christophe Galtier is likely to succeed them.

Given the outstanding work the Argentinean had previously done at Tottenham, the appointment thrilled many and seemed to hold a lot of promise.

As it turned out, Pochettino only added his name to a long list of outstanding managers who were unsuccessful in assisting PSG in achieving its main goal of winning the Champions League.

To be truthful, not many people were likely stunned when Pochettino’s departure rumors first surfaced in June.

Considering that he has spent the most of his 18 months in office looking like he would fail, some might even say that he is lucky to have made it this far.

Later on Tuesday, it was announced and confirmed that Christophe Galtier would lead Paris Saint-Next Germain. His contract would last until June 2024.

Campos’ presence was decisive. I accepted Paris Saint-Germain job with lot of humility but with great determination”. – Galtier said.
