NPFL: Ex-Kwara Utd coach backs Bendel Insurance to return to winning ways against Enyimba

Ex-Kwara United manager Samson Unuanel has tipped Bendel Insurance to defeat Enyimba FC ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 21 fixture slated for Saturday, February 24.

Having lost 1-0 to Sporting Lagos in their last game at the Onikan Stadium on Sunday, 8th-placed Insurance will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host formidable Enyimba at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Saturday.

In a chat with Complete Sport, Unuanel expressed his belief in the host’s ability to get the maximum points, although he admitted the Peoples’ Elephants will be a tough nut to crack for Monday Odigie’s side.

“Yes, it’s going to be a tough game considering the pedigree of both teams in the league,” he said.

“But then, Insurance will be playing in front of their home supporters and they will be eager to bounce back to winning ways in order to bring smiles to the faces of their teeming fans.

“The players will give their best to ensure they pick the maximum points on Saturday,” he concluded.

The last three games between both teams ended in two draws and one win to Enyimba who will be looking to make it two wins in their last three NPFL games after Chijoke Mbaoma’s first-half goal secured a crucial win over Gbenga Ogunbote’s Shooting Stars at the Enyimba International Stadium last weekend.
