Liverpool has advanced to the EFL Cup semi-finals after a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Leicester City.

After normal time, it was 3-3, with Minamino scoring a stoppage-time equalizer for the Reds to force a shootout.

Kelleher saved Thomas’ strike to give the hosts the lead, but Minamino had a chance to win it but missed the crossbar.

Jota beat Schmeichel to win it for Liverpool after Bertrand’s shot was stopped.

Liverpool are in the draw alongside Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea, and will find out who they will face in the semi-finals soon.

They’ll play Leicester again next Tuesday, but first they must face Leeds United on Sunday, while Leicester must go to Manchester City on the same day.

When I made that save and I hear the crowd, it’s an amazing feeling, to be honest.” – Kelleher

The Reds will face Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
