Nigerian striker Edna Imade had an impressive outing on Saturday, netting her first goal of the season to steer Real Sociedad to a 2-0 away victory over Levante Badalona in the Primera División Femenina.
Her breakthrough moment arrived after a patient start to life in San Sebastián — and it might prove to be the spark that ignites both her season and Sociedad’s ambitious campaign.
Imade breaks the deadlock at a crucial moment
The 24-year-old, on loan from Bayern Munich, struck just four minutes after the restart at the Complex Esportiu Futbol, finishing from close range to put Sociedad ahead.
It was a reminder of the instinctive scoring touch that saw her net 17 goals for Granada last season.
Despite registering the fewest touches of the ball in the entire match, Imade made the one that mattered most count in the 49th minute.
Substitute Lucía Pardo added a second in stoppage time, sealing a fifth consecutive unbeaten league result for Sociedad—a run that includes four straight victories.
The win keeps them firmly in the hunt for the title early in the season as they prepare to face UD Tenerife next weekend.

Imade’s goal could not have come at a better time. After three scoreless outings to open the season, she finally opened her account and eased the pressure on herself and her new club.
Sociedad riding high as Imade finds her groove
Imade’s move to Sociedad came after a breakout 2024/25 season with Granada, where she finished second only to Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor in the league scoring charts.
Her performances earned her a summer transfer to Bayern Munich, who chose to loan her to Sociedad to ensure consistent playing time.
