Chelsea stars in more Coronavirus crisis

138

Three first-team players have tested positive for Covid-19 prior of Chelsea’s match against Everton.

Mateo Kovacic has already been ruled out of the Blues’ plans following a positive Covid-19 test from the Croatian international midfielder.

Three more high-profile players in west London have been forced to withdraw, leaving Tuchel with little options.

All of the players who will miss upcoming games have been in touch with the rest of the Chelsea team, and a full training session was completed on Wednesday.

Tuchel was intending to use two of those players against Everton at home, but his pre-match preparations have been thrown into disarray.

There has been no hint that the Blues’ match against Everton on Thursday will be postponed, but things might change.
