Frank Lampard Everton defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Goodison Park in a hard-fought Premier League match with Anthony Gordon grabbing the game winner.

Everton needed to stop the relegation wave, while Manchester United were in danger of falling behind Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for a top-four finish.

Before the halfway break, Everton led Manchester United 1-0 in their Premier League match.

Gordon scored the game’s only goal, pouncing on a loose ball on the edge of the box and the shot took a massive deflection from Harry Maguire to give Lampard’s men a precious three points.

Apart from saves from two Marcus Rashford goals, United failed to respond to the score and were unimpressive in the first half.

Frank Lampard’s team was pushed to the greatest challenge of their endurance under strain in the second half.

Everton, at the other end, held on for a key victory in their Premier League survival bid.

The Toffees won thanks to strong defensive play throughout the game, moving them four points clear of the relegation zone.

United takes a huge blow in their quest for a top-four finish, which is rapidly slipping away from them.
