Everton finally secured Premier League survival on Thursday night, coming from behind to defeat Crystal Palace 3-2 at Goodison Park with Alex Iwobi playing a huge part.Alex Iwobi and Everton secure Premier League safety

The visitors led 2-0 at halftime thanks to Mateta’s close-range goal, before a series of defensive errors led Ayew to double the lead.

Everton struggled to come back into the game, only Richarlison came close to getting a goal from a free kick, but they came back from the half time break with a huge fighting spirit.

Keane pulled one back for the Frank Lampard team before Richarlison finally grabbed his goal to level the scores.

The home side kept fighting for the winning and it all paid off when Calvert-Lewin sealed the win with a diving header from Gray’s free kick.

The pressure is now off Everton ahead of their season finale against Arsenal, as they can no longer be relegated.

The 3-2 win keeps them in the top flight with one game left, putting them four points ahead of Leeds United.

Palace, on the other end, blows an opportunity to move into the top half of the table. They are still in 13th place, with one game left against Manchester United.
