World Cup: England crush Iran in first game

English youngsters, Jude Bellingham and Bukoya Saka, making their first appearance at the global football stage, displayed brilliantly performance to help England defeat Iran 6-2 at 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In the Second Group B Match played on Monday at Khalifa International Stadium, the two English youngsters respectively scored in 35th minute (Jude Bellingham), 43rd and 61st minutes (Bukayo Saka), while Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford (25) scored his first World Cup Goal in 71st minute of the match.

Raheem Sterling, and Jack Grealish respectively scored the other two goals for England in 46th and 89th minutes of the match.

Manchester United and England’s Defensive Midfielder, Luke Shaw was undoubtedly, the man of the match as he diligently marshalled the midfield, and the defence of the English Team.

Tragedy, however, struck for the Iranian Team in the 8th minute of the first half when the Team’s First Choice Goalkeeper, Beiranvand Alireza, attempted to punch out Harry Maguire’s goal bound shot, but ended up colliding with his defender in the process.

Alireza was stretched off the field of play, and was replaced by Hossein Hossein. Iranian marksman, Mehdi Tehrami, put smiles on the faces of Iranian football supporters by scoring a brace (including a Penalty) against the Three Lions of England.
