If Denmark defeats the reigning champions, France, later today, Tunisia, one of the five African nations competing in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, may have a remote chance of moving on to the next round of the international football competition.

On Saturday afternoon, Australia defeated Tunisia 0-1 in the second round of the tournament.

The Socceroos took the lead in the 23rd minute of the first half of the encounter at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah thanks to a goal from Australian forward Mitchell Duke.

Both teams failed to score in the second half.

In the tournament, Tunisia only has one point to its name thanks to a scoreless draw with Denmark in the championship’s opening game.

Despite losing 1-4 to the defending World Cup Champions, Australia now has three points from two games after defeating Tunisia in the second match of the group round.

Australia achieved their first victory since 2010 and only the second clean sheet in World Cup history. A fantastic outcome for the Socceroos.

After their impressive showing against Denmark, Tunisia’s performance was simply insufficient.

On the other hand, France continues to top the group with a three-point lead and a four-goal edge.
