Former PSG defender – Thiago Silva, strongly thinks his Brazilian teammate – Neymar would fit in perfectly into Chelsea squad if he decides to leave the Ligue 1 side.
Recent reports have focused on Neymar’s future at PSG, with the French club reportedly eager to let him go if the appropriate offer comes up.
The 30-year-old wants to continue his career in Paris in order to fulfill his dream of winning the Champions League there, according to a statement released last week by Wagner Ribeiro, Neymar’s former agent.
But the defender Chelsea – Thiago Silva, has encouraged him to join the Premier League team after spending the 2017–2020 campaign alongside the forward at PSG and on the international stage.
“He has to go to Chelsea. If he is about to leave, then he must go there. If it happens, then the expectation is the best possible one. We don’t even need to talk about Neymar’s ability. Besides that, he is a super friend. I hope this happens instead of only being something on the news, but I don’t know anything about it.” – Silva told Globo
Chelsea hasn’t yet made any off-season transfers, although they have recently been linked to another Brazilian, Leeds United’s Raphinha.
Because Boehly needs to act fast to avoid problems, Raphinha and his agent – Deco have already received an official invitation from the Blues to discuss personal terms.
Chelsea has made a contract offer to Leeds’ winger that may be worth up to £65 million, including add-ons, making him the favorite to join with the Blues.
