The match took place at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta state, on Sunday, June 11.

Prior to the game, Rivers Angels faced disciplinary actions from the NWFL as they were fined one million naira and had two players suspended for their misconduct towards match officials after their 1-0 loss to Bayelsa Queens.

Despite their dominance in the first half, the team from Port Harcourt couldn’t find the breakthrough.

He stressed the importance of respecting every team in the NWFL, emphasizing that there are no underdogs and any team can defeat another.

Speaking further, Okon advised the organizers of the women’s league to improve the quality of officiating in order to attract more investment to the league.
