Opeyemi Ajakaye, who was energetic and active, scored a goal against Germany to honor her competition-long effort.
Amina Bello scored the game’s second goal in the 48th minute, and substitute Etim Edidiong added to the Germans’ problems in the 63rd to give the Flamingoes a comfortable lead.
The Flamingoes went sleeping and allowed the Germans to come back and tie the contest with three goals.
However, they continued with the game but the German ladies went on to miss three penalties in the shootout, which led to Nigeria winning the match.
