Aston Villa Boss, Steven Gerrard was full of excitement on Tuesday night after their massive away victory over Norwich in their Premier League clash at Carrow Road.
Villa cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over the Dean Smith side.
Gerrard’s side played flawlessly on the road, scoring twice through Ramsey and Watkins and holding a rare away clean sheet.
Villa’s fourth win in six games puts them in a tie for ninth place in the Premier League table with Leicester City.
They’re in a wonderful spot heading into the busy holiday season.
With only eight goals after 17 games, Norwich is at the bottom of the table, with just three points from safety.
While reacting to the victory, Gerrard said;
“We are really pleased, to come here and win the way we did is really pleasing. I thought it was a really strong away performance, kept clean sheet. We’ve been affected by Covid-19 but players are stepping forward and stepping up and that’s what we need. Its nice to win and move back to top ten. We can try and recover the best way for Burnley.”
Villa will be looking to play Burnley at home this weekend with full confidence after returning to Birmingham with three points.
While Norwich City will travel to West Ham United in search of a win.
