Senegal hammer Burkina Faso, book Afcon 2021 final spot

Senegal qualified for the AFCON 2021 final after a 3-1 semi-final victory over Burkina Faso on Wednesday night.

Mane of SenegalThe Teranga Lions made it back-to-back AFCON finals with a well-deserved victory. They were superior in general, and their quality was simply too much for the Stallions to handle.

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane was the show’s star, with another assist and a goal to his name.

Since his debut at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, Sadio Mané has been the most influential player in the competition (11 – 8 goals, 3 assists).

Senegal has won yet another AFCON 2021 match, with Sadio Mané putting up yet another impressive effort.

Paris Saint-Abdou Germain’s Diallo and Idrissa Gueye scored the first two goals for The Lions of Teranga, both near the end of the second half.

Ibrahim Blati Toure of Burkina Faso pulled one back with five minutes remaining, but Mane ensured there would be no comeback by scoring a third late on.

Burkina Faso had been a challenging opponent, but Senegal emerged victorious in Douala, due to a second-half goal spree.

Teranga’s Lions have advanced to their second consecutive AFCON final, and their third overall!

On Sunday, they will face either Cameroon or Egypt.
