Rinsola Babajide and Edna Imade had contrasting weekends in Europe’s top women’s leagues, each leaving a mark in their own way.
Babajide’s clinical finish helped Roma extend their strong start to the Serie A Femminile season, while Imade’s spirited goal wasn’t enough to save Real Sociedad in Liga F.
Babajide powers Roma to dominant victory
At the Stadio Tre Fontane, Babajide registered her first Serie A goal of the season to double Roma’s early advantage in a commanding 4-0 triumph over Parma Calcio.
Alice Corelli opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Babajide calmly slotted home 19 minutes later, rewarding Roma’s relentless pressure.
Manuela Giugliano’s 56th-minute strike and Giulia Dragoni’s composed finish in the 73rd sealed a comprehensive win.
Babajide, 27, now has two goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
Her sharp display for Roma will be vital as they shift focus to a crucial Women’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid midweek.
Imade scores but Sociedad fell short
In Spain, Super Falcons hopeful Edna Imade continued her fine scoring form for Real Sociedad, but her side fell 2-1 to UD Tenerife at the Campo Jose Luis.
Tenerife raced into a two-goal lead inside 22 minutes, courtesy of Sakina Ouzraoui’s early breakthrough and Natalia Ramos’s penalty.

Imade, 24, pulled one back in the 35th minute — her second goal in consecutive games — to spark hopes of a comeback.
Despite sustained second-half pressure, Sociedad couldn’t break through again and saw their five-game unbeaten run end.
The defeat leaves them third in the Liga F standings with 13 points, as they prepare for a testing encounter against Imade’s former club, Granada.
