The Super Falcons managed to seal off a 1-0 victory over their Cameroonian opponents on Thursday night at the ongoing WAFCON to move to the Semifinals.

The victory also guaranteed the team’s qualifying for their ninth consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Shortly after the game, Rasheedat Ajibade was awarded Woman of the Match after the Super Falcons defeated Indomitable Lionesses to advance to the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations semi-final.

In the 57th minute of the match at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Ajibade scored the game-winning goal for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The winning goal was scored by the Atletico Madrid attacker thanks to Ifeoma Onumonu’s beautiful pass.

The 22-year-old forward gave Randy Waldrum’s women a chance to advance to the semifinals by scoring the game’s lone goal in the second half.

Morocco, Zambia, South Africa and Nigeria will all represent Africa at the women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

The forward, also known as the “Girl with the Blue Head,” expressed her joy on social media by writing:

Everytime I call, he answers me ??
My help comes from the Lord ??
NAIJA, we are going to the WORLD CUP!!”

Rasheedat Ajibade is becoming known as the Super Star of the Nigerian National Team after contributing three goals and three assists for the Super Falcons at the WAFCON 2022.

The Super Falcons now have an opportunity to take home the WAFCON trophy as they play the hosts, Morocco, in the semifinal on Monday.
