Raphinha’s roaring goal gave Barcelona a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the preseason El Clasico on Sunday morning. Raphinha’s goal came off a Militao poor clearance in the first half.

The first half of the match at Allegiant Stadium saw Xavi’s squad firmly in control, dominating, commanding the tempo and pace of play while producing a few half-chances as Barca held on to their lead.

Real Madrid’s finest chance to score appeared to come on Valverde’s long shot, which ultimately struck the woodwork.

Lewandowski, another notable newcomer, and Rudiger both exuded vigor and comfort while flying the colour of their new teams.

The game was successfully started by Ancelotti’s men, but they were unable to link up with their attackers for more success in front of goal, and even in the second half, they failed to pose a serious threat to Barcelona.

The match was won by Raphinha in the 27th minute with a stunning goal that broke the scoreless tie. This was followed by an outstanding performance and a calm victory at the end.

Vinicius and Rodrygo both appeared to be really enthusiastic for brief periods of the game, therefore, their midfielders will surely need to play more significant role in order to support them.

Barcelona continued to hit on the counter and proved even more effective as the game went on and substitutes were added, with Dembele and Depay eager to contribute, but it ended with a score of just 1-0.

This Barcelona team is already well ahead of their bitter rivals despite the fact its only just preseason game.

Real Madrid’s team for this season is completed. We are better than last season, I’m happy” – Carlo Ancelotti
