Osimhen, Musa on target as Nigeria beat Liberia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are a step closer to qualifying for the 2022 World Cup after a 2-0 win over Liberia courtesy of 2 Penalties converted by Victor Osimhen and Ahmed Musa on Saturday evening.Super Eagles

The Napoli forward and Ahmed Musa both scored from the spot kick to give Super Eagles the needed away win as they remain at the top of Group C with 12 points.

Final day fixture on November 16 in Lagos Nigeria vs Cape Verde.

The Super Eagles will be hosting the Islanders in Lagos on Tuesday. The visitors need to win, But a draw will be enough for the West African side to progress to the playoff round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

With Cape Verde’s 2-1 win over C. A. R, it’s everything to play for when Nigeria welcomes Cape Verde with both teams currently with 12 & 10 points respectively.
