NPFL champions, Enyimba have secured an exciting new talent, Anthony Achu Okachi, to bolster their squad for the upcoming 2023/24 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The 22-year-old formidable striker was officially unveiled after inking a lucrative two-year deal with the Aba-based club, extending his journey with Enyimba until 2025.
This groundbreaking move came to fruition as Okachi’s release clause of N3,000,000 was activated, making him a pivotal addition to the already formidable squad.
Having agreed to an impressive $600 monthly salary, Anthony Okachi made the leap from Shooting Stars to embrace the thrilling challenge that lies ahead with Enyimba FC.
Honing his skills during his tenure with Abia Comets FC and gaining valuable experience at Norwegian second-tier side FK Jerv on loan, Okachi’s immense potential was evident, especially during his three-year stint with the Umuahia-based club in the Nigeria National League as a prolific forward.
Although his time with Shooting Stars was brief, featuring in nine NPFL games and scoring a single goal, it was enough to convince the NPFL giants to secure his services.
After completing his medical at the club’s Aba base, the young striker couldn’t contain his excitement, expressing his enthusiasm on social media, particularly on his Twitter page, where he wrote:
