Kano Pillars technical adviser Abdullahi Maikaba has informed the club of his decision to walk away from the role if they fail to erect structures that’ll help him deliver effectively.
The Sai Masu Gida have won just one and lost a whopping four out of their last five matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Their last loss was a 3-0 whitewash against relegation-threatened Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday, April 28.
In light of their recent poor form, the four-time NPFL Champions have slid down to the ninth spot on the log.
Maikaba believes that the team’s lacklustre performances is a result of the unfavourable working conditions within the club, and has called on the club’s management— the Kano State Government— to buckle up or he steps down from his position.
“I need a conducive environment to work. I’m not conducive in Kano,” Punch Sports Extra reports.
“I’m discussing with the management in days. If it warrants terminating the contract, I will do that.
“There is a new and young commissioner of sports in Kano now, things might change.”
