NFF has disengaged Augustine Eguavoen, the previous Technical Adviser, with immediate effect following Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Meanwhile, the NFF has terminated the coaches’ two-and-a-half-year contract and sacked the team’s entire technical staff with immediate effect.

According to NFF, a new crew will be picked after a comprehensive examination to lead the campaign to resurrect the Super Eagles and prepare them for future challenges.

NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said;

We thank the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavours.”
