Before Mitrovic successfully executed the penalty shot to give his the team the lead back once more after Virgil van Dijk fouled him.
For the first time since his loss to Manchester City in October 2018, Virgil van Dijk has conceded a penalty in this contest.
Mohamed Salah continued his extraordinary record on the opening day of the season by scoring for the sixth game in a row to give the Reds a share of the victory.
The Red have now snapped the greatest active streak in the league—51 Premier League games—without giving up a penalty.
Liverpool has now accumulated the most Premier League points (115) by overcoming deficits since Jürgen Klopp took over as manager in October 2015.
