According to rumors coming out of France, Allan Saint-Maximin is reportedly one player Manchester United is very much interested in acquiring from their Premier League rivals, Newcastle United.

The speedy Frenchman has unquestionably one of the best dribbles in all of Europe when he is at his best.

Despite having the speed and intelligence to win games, his final product sometimes falls short of what is expected or he opts to try and dribble his way out of a trouble rather than lifting his head and passing the ball to a teammate.

For his Newcastle side, the 25-year-old has had a great start to the season with two assists through the first three Premier League games.

In Sunday’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Manchester City, where Eddie Howe’s number ten grabbed this assist after tormenting Kyle Walker.

Manchester United is apparently interested in signing the French forward, but it appears Erik ten Hag is eager to return to the Eredivisie to sign highly sought-after young players.

Given Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Elanga, and Anthony Martial contrasting roles in Friday night’s 2-1 win over bitter rivals Liverpool, it’s tough to see the former Nice player being chosen by Ten Hag’s team ahead of them.

In 96 games for the Toon Army, the Frenchman presently has just 12 goals and 18 assists. However, he hasn’t ever been renowned for his ability to consistently score goals.

Given that he still has four years left on his St. James’ Park deal after being purchased for £16.5 million, the Premier League’s richest club would likely want to make a sizeable profit on the player.

While Allan Saint-Maximin of Newcastle is an attacking possibility for their squad in the transfer market, many Manchester United supporters adamantly think that their team currently has better choices out there.
