Enyimba captain goalkeeper John Noble has decided to leave the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) and forego the chance to play in the CAF Champions League.

Instead, the 30-year-old goalie has chosen to join Tanzanian Premier League side Tabora United.

Noble, a key player in Enyimba FC’s triumphant NPFL campaign last season, has signed a one-year contract with Tabora United, with the possibility of an extension based on his performances in the upcoming season.

This move marks a significant shift in Noble’s career as he embraces a new challenge with the ambitious Tanzanian team.

Tabora United, formerly known as Kitayosce, is setting its sights high for the season and believes Noble’s expertise will be crucial to their quest for success.

Although many expected Noble to play a vital role in Enyimba FC’s 2023/2024 CAF Champions League campaign, the allure of fresh opportunities in Tanzania seems to have won him over.

His experience with the Super Eagles in the Africa Cup of Nations may have played a part in his decision, especially after facing disappointment due to unresolved bonus payments.

Noble’s departure from Enyimba FC is acknowledged, and the club recognizes his invaluable contributions to their ninth NPFL title triumph.

As he ventures into this new chapter abroad, fans and supporters eagerly await Noble’s performance on the field for Tabora United.
