Harry Kane reaches Premier League milestone with brace against Crystal Palace

Harry Kane has reached yet another Premier League milestone after grabbing a brace on Wednesday night to help Tottenham thrash Crystal Palace 4-0 during their game.

Spurs looked set to continue their spell of poor post-World Cup form after the first half ended goalless on both end. But Conte’s men, who were distinctly second-best before the interval came out firing in the second.

Harry Kane, as ever, popped up to lash home two goals with the second goal coming in just five minutes after the first. His headed effort opened scoring for the visitors before netting his second in 53rd minute of the game.

Harry Kane has scored seven headed goals in the Premier League so far this season.

He only needs two more to equal Duncan Ferguson’s single-season record from 1997/98.

Not before long, Doherty and Son had joined the party, capitalising on defensive errors from Palace.

It’s Spurs’ first victory since the restart, and they consign Palace to a second defeat in three games with a clinical performance.

On his 300th Premier League start, Harry Kane showed his world class finishing ability once more with two well-taken goals right at the start of the second half.

With his brace, Harry Kane became the second Premier League player to score on his 100th, 200th and 300th appearance in the competition after Teddy Sheringham.

That heavy defeat, accompanied by other results in corresponding games, sees Palace fall a place to 12th in the table, though still five points clear of Leicester in 13th.

A first win in three for Tottenham gives their push to the top renewed verve, as Spurs stay fifth but close the gap between themselves and fourth-placed Manchester United to just two points.

Their next game, a North London derby against league leaders Arsenal, will be the ultimate test for Conte’s side though, and they’ll need to take everything good about this second-half performance if they’re to topple their biggest rivals.
