England thrash Teranga Lions Senegal to qualify for 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter final

England played with poise against Senegal in the round of 16 to advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.

In the match held at Al Bayt Stadium, Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, and Jordan Anderson displayed stunning performances for the Three Lions of England.

Senegal should have grabbed the opening goal in the fourth minute of the first half, but England’s Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire disrupted the Senegalese foray into the goal area.

Between the sixth and twelfth minutes of the first half, England’s attacking trio of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Bukoya Saka terrorized the Senegalese defense. However, England received only a free kick and a corner kick, neither of which produced a goal.

In the 35th minute of the first half, Senegalese star Ismaila Sarr proved to be a challenge for England defender Kyle Walker, who received a booking for his trouble.

Before For England produced their opening goal 38 minutes into the first half as Jude Bellingham and Jordan Anderson worked flawlessly together to give their side the lead.

In the final second of first-half extra time, Harry Kane scored a swinging goal to bring the scoreline to 2-0 for England.

The Three Lions increased their lead to three goals (3-0) 11 minutes into the second half of the match thanks to Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.

Any uncertainty over the result was obviously eliminated when Bukayo Saka found back of the net in the 57th minute of the game.

For the tenth time in their history, England has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup.

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals, the Three Lions of England will now play against the reigning World Cup Champions, France.
