Bendel Insurance midfielder, Divine Nwachukwu, expressed his delight at being selected for the national team, Super Eagles, in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sierra Leone.
This crucial match, scheduled for June 18, will see Super Eagles’ Head Coach, José Peseiro, calling up Nwachukwu along with three other home-based players and 19 foreign-based players.
Joining Nwachukwu from the home-based players are goalkeepers Victor Sochima and Olorunleke Ojo, as well as defender Ebube Duru, all of whom will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and contribute to the team’s success.
Nwachukwu, who has been in exceptional form as a box-to-box midfielder during the NPFL Super Six, has rightfully earned his call-up to the Super Eagles squad.
