Denzel Dumfries run the show as Netherlands kick USA out of 2022 FIFA World Cup

Netherlands have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup following their 3-1 victory over the United States on Saturday afternoon at Khalifa International Stadium.

The Louis van Gaal mean came into the game after emerging Group A winner and advanced to the round of 16 with Cody Gakpo scoring in each game as they accrued seven of a possible nine points.

Due to Christian Pulisic’s crucial goal against Iran in their final Group B match, the United States also qualified for the knockout rounds.

Netherlands defender – Denzel Dumfries inspired the Dutch National Football Team to the first-round triumph over the United States of America.

Barley 10 minutes into the game, a Dumfries right wing ball to Barcelona striker Memphis Depay earned the Reds their first goal.

In the 46th minute of first-half extra time, Dumfries and Daley Blind then skillfully teamed to score the second goal for the Netherlands.

In the 76th minute of the second half, Haji Wright, assisted by Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, brought the USA score down to 1-2.

In the 81st minute of the second half, Dumfries Denzel and Daley Blind once more worked together to give Netherlands their third and final goal of the game.

In the Qatar 2022 World Cup quarterfinal, either Australia or Argentina will now face the Netherlands.
