Arsenal’s scouting department has been strengthened by the addition of Florian Bluchel from Bayern Munich.

Bluchel competed in continental junior tournaments for Germany in 2001 and 2004 at the European Championships as Bundesliga star.

The 37-year-old scout spent more than a decade with the Bundesliga giants, rising through the ranks from video analyst for the youth team to Head of Technical Scouting.

He will work as the club’s International First Team Scout for Germany at Emirates Stadium, where he will mix traditional scouting methods with video analysis and next-generation player profiling.

Arsenal have already strengthened their scouting department by hiring the man who brought Neymar and Philippe Coutinho to Europe for the first time.
