Victor Moses has publicly expressed his devastation about the injuries he suffered during their game the weekend before, but he vows to bounce back even stronger.

The 31-year-old former winger for the Super Eagles will be sidelined for a long time after ripping his Achilles while playing for Spartak Moscow.

The Nigerian, who was hurt during the weekend’s league game against Ural will be needing urgent surgery, the club said in a press release.

After getting hurt during the team’s 2-0 victory over Ural on Saturday in the Russian Premier League, Victor Moses will require surgery.

Victor Moses was stretchered off barely 33 minutes into the game before Mikhail Ignatov came in to replaced him.

The MRI scan confirmed that he injured his Achilles, and surgery will be necessary to repair it.

The ex-Chelsea winger pledged to do everything in his ability to recover and get back to 100% fitness as quickly as possible for the benefit of the team, and he thanked his fans for their constant support.

He wrote on his twitter page;

“Devastated to have suffered an injury in the game at the weekend. I will be doing all I can to recover and get back fully fit as quickly as possible to help the team ??thank you so much to everyone at the club and all of the fans for your fantastic support. I’ll be back stronger.”

The Nigerian, who has recently been extensively rumoured with a move back to England has already scored twice in four league games this season and has also been named match-of-the-match.

Moses, who has arguably been Spartak Moscow’s best player this season, will likely be out of action for the next six months.
