Sadiq Umar returns from the Total Energies Afcon 2021 in Cameroon to lead Almeria to victory in their league match on Friday.
The Super Eagles striker scored in Almeria’s 2-0 win over UD Ibiza at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium, the club’s first victory in La Liga 2 since 2022.
He concluded a superb counter-attacking move for Almeria with a cool finish to score his 9th league goal of the season and 10th in all competitions.

Largie Ramazani gave the Joan Francesc team the lead after only 13 minutes, but the visitors were reduced to ten men after Lex Gálvez was sent off.
With a fantastic finish at the top of the post on a counter attack late in the game, Umar Sadiq sealed the win and all three points.

In the game, he also won two penalties as they defeated Ibiza Eivissa 2-0 to go into second position in the Smartbank La Liga standings.
The forward will be hoping to continue his scoring spree when Almeria meets Malaga on Saturday.
