Nigerian international Anthony Nwakaeme, scored one and supplied the assist to another as Trabzonspor hammered Yeni Malatyaspor 5-1 on Monday to kicked off the Turkish new league season.
Trabzonspor opened scoring just 8 minutes into game thanks to Ex-Napoli star, Marek Hamsik and Anastasios Bakasetas, who combined beautifully to score.
The Nigerian forward then doubled Trabzonspor’s advantage 3 minutes later after receiving a pass from Djaniny Tvaris before beating Ertac Orbir in Yeni’s goal.

Nwakaeme went on to set up Cote d’Ivoire teammate Gervinho on the half-hour mark to make it 3-0 for Abdullah Avci’s men.
32 minutes on, Yeni’s skipper Adem Buyuk reduced the deficit but Hamsik restored the visitor’s three-goal advantage ten minutes later.
Djaniny completed the rout from the penalty spot before Nwakaeme was replaced by Yusuf Sari with 20 minutes left on the clock.
The win took Trabzonspor to top in the league table of the Turkish Super Lig table ahead of Altay, Besiktas, and Ahmed Musa’s Fatih Karagumruk
