Nigeria international, Samuel Kalu collapsed in the sixth minute of Bordeaux’s match against 10-man Marseille in French Ligue 1 game at the Stade Velodrome.

The winger, who was part of the wall, fell to the ground unchallenged as Dimitri Payet was preparing to take a free-kick for Marseille.

Players from both teams rushed to the Nigeria international and called for medical attention.

Kalu was able to get up and walk off the pitch with the help of his team-mates, holding an ice pack against his head.

According to reports, the winger earlier complained of dizziness.

The 23-year-old returned back to the pitch and played on for eight more minutes but was subbed off as he appeared to be struggling to play well.

However, the game ended in 2-2 draw at the Stade Velodrome.

This is the 2nd time in 2 years that he’ll collapse on the pitch. In 2019 during the Africa Cup of Nations, he slumped in training, two days before the Super Eagles opening game of the tournament.
