Super Eagles stars Victor Boniface and Kelechi Iheanacho made headlines on Sunday as they both delivered dream debuts while featuring for their various clubs.
Boniface announced his presence with a key assist in Werder Bremen’s 4-0 Bundesliga win, while Iheanacho gave Celtic fans something to cheer about by netting a last-gasp penalty against Kilmarnock.
Both players showed why they can’t be written off so early in their careers.
Victor Boniface Makes Instant Impact in Bremen’s Big Win
It didn’t take long for Boniface to show his quality at Werder Bremen. Coming off the bench in the 75th minute, the man on loan from Bayer Leverkusen wasted no time in stamping his authority.
Just six minutes later, he produced a perfectly timed pass for Justin Njinmah, who finished with style to seal a commanding 4-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Super Eagles forward joined Bremen this summer, and his quick impact proved why the club sees him as a crucial addition.
From strong positioning to smart link-up play, Boniface’s cameo showed flashes of the attacking depth he brings to the Bundesliga side.
Kelechi Iheanacho the Hero as Celtic Edge Kilmarnock
While Boniface was creating goals in Germany, Iheanacho was writing his own script in Scotland.
Making his first appearance for Celtic after signing on a free transfer, the 28-year-old forward came off the bench with 20 minutes left.

The game looked headed for a draw after Kilmarnock cancelled out Daizen Maeda’s opener with a powerful header from David Watson.
But in stoppage time, VAR awarded Celtic a penalty for handball. Iheanacho stepped up under pressure and smashed the spot-kick into the top corner, sending the away fans into so much excitement and handing Celtic a dramatic 2-1 victory.
From Bremen to Glasgow, the Super Eagles stars sure did have a dream debut day.

Thrilled to see Kelechi and Boniface making an impact again. Long may this continue.
