Sadiq Umar inspires Almeria to opening day victory

Sadiq Umar scored the first goal for Almeria as they secured a 3-1 victory against Cartagena in their season opener away at the Estadio Municipal Cartagonova.

The striker who scored 20 goals last season started the new season with a bang as Los Indálicos kicked off the season with a win.

The 24-year-old scored the opener for Almeria in the 19th minutes during their season opener away at the Estadio Municipal Cartagonow.

35 minutes on, Largie Ramazani pounced on a loose ball and fired home to double the lead Rojiblancos’ side.

Four minutes into the second half, Cartagena reduced the deficit by a goal, as super sub – Alex Gallar set up Antonio Luna to make the scoreline 2-1.

Before Ramazani scored his second of the game to double the lead and seal the win for Almeria.
