Manchester United are among the EPL’s lowest scorers, with just five goals in six matches. Club legend Louis Saha has urged the team to prioritise signing Victor Osimhen to boost their attacking output.
Louis Saha, a former Manchester United forward, has urged the Premier League giants to go all out to sign Victor Osimhen to solve the club’s current attacking woes.
United have struggled in the early stages of the 2024/25 English Premier League (EPL) season, with two wins, one draw, and three losses after Matchday six. The Erik Ten Hag-led side has only scored five goals — one of the lowest in the league so far.
However, Saha has identified Osimhen as the solution to the team’s underperformance. “I don’t know if it’s a realistic option, because he’s on loan at Galatasaray, but if you’re talking about a proven goalscorer with pedigree, he’s the man. He would instantly improve the team,” the Frenchman said.
Saha also emphasised Osimhen’s reliability, stating, “If you sign Osimhen, you’re not signing potential. You know exactly what he’s going to give you. A striker like him is exactly the kind of signing Manchester United needs to make. If it takes a lot of money — and it will — you go and do it.”
Meanwhile, Galatasaray’s vice president, Ibrahim Hatipoğlu, has clarified that Osimhen’s loan deal runs until the end of the 2024/25 season and expressed the club’s intention to keep the Nigerian striker in Turkey on a permanent contract.
