On Thursday night, Feyenoord and Slavia Prague drew 3-3 in an enthralling match, with three Nigerian players – Cyriel Dessers, Peter Olayinka, and Yira Collins Sor – putting in outstanding performances.

In their Europa Conference League quarter-final, both teams staged a six-goal thriller, with Peter Olayinka scoring the first goal, Yira Collins Sor also scoring and assisting the others, and Cyriel Dessers also earning an assist.

Slavia Prague headed to the Netherlands for the opening leg of their Europa Conference League quarterfinal match.

From the first whistle, both teams looked formidable, and Feyenoord took the lead after just 10 minutes, when Sinisterra scored a stunning curler to the left side of the goal.

After Feyenoord took the lead, Sor and Olayinka, who captained the visitors, had chances to pull the score back to equal terms for Slavia Prague, but they failed to convert their chances.

Slavia Prague’s perseverance paid off four minutes before halftime, when Olayinka pounced on a rebound and smashed home from close range to draw the game at 1-1.

The second half continued in the same manner and with the same intensity as the first, but it took a team 22 minutes to score.

Another Nigerian attacker, Sor, was in the thick of it all. The 21-year-old hammered a well-placed shot behind Ofir Marciano to make it 2-1 for the visitors.

Despite the goal, the game was far from over, and Dessers joined the melee as Feyenoord tried to salvage a victory.

The Genk loanee showed off his abilities by assisting Marcos Senesi to tie the game at 2-2.

The Dutch thought they had won the game after Orkun Kocku’s 86th-minute strike, but Ibrahim Traore had other ideas.

The 33-year-old instilled fear in Feyenoord supporters when he scored in the sixth minute of stoppage time to secure a 3-3 draw.

Both side will be looking to secure a spot in the next stage as Slavia Prague host Feyenoord at the Sinobo Stadium next week.
