Nigerian footballer Shehu Usman Abdullahi has become a proud father after he and his wife, Sumayya Mustapha, welcomed a newborn boy on Thursday morning.

The Omonia defender, 29, couldn’t contain his pleasure and announced the birth of his baby boy on his official Twitter page.

Regardless of the fact that Shehu, who is swiftly becoming a house hold name in the Super Eagles did not upload any pictures of the child, he indicated that both the infant and the mother are healthy.

The Super Eagles defender also expressed gratitude to God for his baby boy’s safe arrival, as well as his friends and admirers for their continuing prayers.

He wrote on twitter – @OfficialShehu;

We are thrilled to announce our baby boy, mother and baby are in good health. We thank Allah! We were blessed with the arrival of our son this morning. We appreciate your prayers.”
