The highly anticipated return of the super eagles to Lagos finally became a reality for the fans when the super eagles arrived to a resounding ovation at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere at exactly 5pm on Tuesday evening for their first closed door training session.

The team bus was accompanied with cheers and shouts of joy from fans who were on ground to receive them.
Earlier in the day, the team had a personal interview with the media at their Eko Hotel and Suites camp base.
For the likes of Maduka Okoye, Joe Aribo and the likes, this is their first experience of the hustle, bustle and traffic that accompanies the commercial capital.

Despite the strict security details on ground, pockets of fans gained entrance in to the main bowl of the stadium cheering non stop for the super eagles. The training session lasted for 1 hour 30 minutes.
The first training session kicked off some minutes past 5pm with a light stretch and run across the field.
At exactly 18:42 Nigerian time, the super eagles departed Surulere for their camp base at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island.
The super eagles will leave for Benin on Friday via the waterways.
