Full list: Jose Peseiro invites 27 players for Sierra Leone and São Tomé

José Santos Peseiro, the recently appointed Super Eagles Head Coach, revealed his team for the forthcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Saturday, June 3.

There are 27 players on the list, with several returning after missing the international friendlies against El Tri of Mexico and Ecuador in the United States of America (USA).

Captain Ahmed Musa, goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye (Israel), defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Zaidu Sanusi, Leon Balogun, and Kenneth Omeruo, midfielders Oghenekaro Etebo and Frank Onyeka, and strikers Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, and Sadiq Umar all made a return to the team.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play host to Sierra Leone at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Thursday, June 9th, in one of the campaign’s Day 1 matches, before traveling to Marrakech, Morocco on Monday, June 13th, to face Sao Tomé and Prncipe.
