After missing the whole of last season due to injury, Anthony Ujah is back with Union Berlin team for the Bundesliga season as they prepare to take on Wolfsburg this weekend.
The former Super Eagles forward has been sidelined by a serious knee injury but fully back to training now.
The former FC Cologne star has been a long-term Bundesliga absentee due to injury, he’s been out for 399 days, missing 36 games for the Urs Fischer side.
Ujah, who marked his birthday yesterday was down with the injury since 26 July 2020, keeping him out of action for the entire 2020-2021 campaign.
The Centre-Forward scored just three goals in 24 Bundesliga appearances for FC Union Berlin with just 2 assist in 2019-20 campaign before he was hit with the season long injury.
As it stands, the 31-year-old has to step up his game to have a chance in the first team spot as his fellow Nigeria star, Taiwo Awoniyi has taken over the German side attacking force.
