Afcon 2021: Covid-19 hit Nigeria’s Group D opponent

Guinea Bissau, Nigeria’s Group D opponent, has been struck by the Covid-19 outbreak, with ten players testing positive. On January 11, they face Sudan, the 1970 Champions.

“Seven other members of their delegation’s results are still pending.”

Alfred Gomis, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Saliou Ciss, Famara Diedhiou, Bamba Dieng, Pape Sarr, Baba Thiam, and Nampalys Mendy are among the Senegal players who have tested positive.

On January 10, Senegal will face Zimbabwe, a member of Group B.

Four players from Guinea have tested positive for Covid-19.

Ibrahima Conte, Morgan Guilavogui, Fode Camara, and Mory Konate are the players.

On January 10, they face Malawi, a member of Group B.

Abass Traore, Edmond Tapsoba, Soumala Ouattara, Saidou Simpore, Dango Aboubacar are among the five Burkina Faso players who have tested positive.

Their Head Coach, Kamou Mal, three more officials were also found to be positive.

Today, they face Cameroon, their Group A opponents and hosts.
