Nine times Women’s Afcon winners – Nigeria’s Super Falcons, have been assigned to Group C of the competition, which will be hosted in Morocco.Women Afcon: Super Falcons to play Banyana, Botswana, Burundi

The Falcons will compete in Group C of the 12th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which runs from July 2 to 23. They will face Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Botswana, and Burundi.

Nigeria and South Africa were in the same group at the last edition of the tournament in Ghana, with the Banyana winning by the odd goal.

Both teams met in the final, which ended in a scoreless stalemate after normal and extra periods.

The Super Falcons went on to win their ninth title, 4-3 on penalties.

In Group A, Morocco leads Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Uganda, while Group B, which contains Zambia, Tunisia, and Togo, is led by Cameroon.

All four semifinalists will represent Africa in the inaugural 32-team FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, which will be held in New Zealand and Australia next summer.
